*Sign up for ZooCamp at Franklin Park Zoo!
At ZooCamp, children are provided with a variety of educational, fun and quality experiences. They are given an opportunity to fully discover and examine elements of nature, Zoo animals, their habitats and lifestyles. Participants meet zookeepers and learn about the specific needs of Zoo animals. All activities are aligned with state learning standards, so children can get a jump start on classes for the fall. As part of their discovery, youth participants create wildlife journals and document their observations of animal and bird activity in Bird’s World, the Tropical Forest, Outback Trail, Children’s Zoo, African Savannah and Butterfly Landing. Camp sessions take place in July and August and run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sessions are one and two weeks in length. There is an extended day service available for an additional fee. Children ages 6 – 11 can attend ZooCamp. To register, contact Camp Fire USA at 617-591-0300 or visit www.campfireusa-emass.org.
